Big Weekend!

Tomorrrow I become an aunt for the first time!  My sister Kelly is scheduled to have her baby tomorrow, unless Baby Keeven decides to make an appearance all on her own tonight.  Check back in a few days, I'll post updates on Kelly and the baby, and hopefully have some pics for you too!

How are we going to spend tonight?  I have a bride's trial hair and makeup this afternoon, and Keith is shooting her engagement session immediately after.  Then we're off for some dinner and light drinks (gotta be at the hospital early tomorrow!) with some friends tonight.  Dinner location still undecided...any suggestions?

Last Day as a Promaroli...

Here is my blog from the day before my wedding!  I'm kinda late getting it posted:

Friday, June 10th, 2011:

What a crazy day!  We had NEO open from 9-3 in order to decorate the venue.  We also had to run to Clayton and get our marriage license.  We didn’t get to NEO until after noon, which probably should have been earlier.  Keith, Karrwright, and I started unloading our car.  Jenn and Kelly showed up shortly after.  We did as much as we could, but my mom had the bulk of the decorations in their car.   However, I forgot the filler for the centerpieces, as well as the floral frogs.   So my mom had to go to my house to get those on her way to NEO.  We did a good job decorating; I was starting to envision the place.  We couldn’t get everything done, as Cathy (don’t get me started on my hatred for her), kicked us out at 3:20PM.  She stormed out, saying she was going to lock the doors.  Then we had a cart, so she threw our stuff off the cart and onto the ground, threw the cart inside the doors, and locked it before flying outta there.   I think we were all speechless.  It was starting to become stressful, as there was still a lot to get done before the wedding date.  Keith was feeling the strain of the stress the most.  I ended up leaving with my mom, and Keith went to The Walkers to finish off the programs.  We didn’t realize that that was going to be the last time we would see each other until we were at the altar.  That made me kinda sad.  I ended up going home to pack everything for the weekend, and then met my mom and sisters for our mani’s and pedi’s.  It was my mom’s first time, so she called herself a virgin, and was enjoying every minute of the massaging chair.  She was funny, as she commented that she couldn’t believe she had never done this before.  We looked over at one point, and her hands, arms, and legs were completely wrapped in warm, blue towels!  After nails, I got a call from the strings stating that they needed my musical selections….crap!!!  I completely forgot about that!  So I headed inside my mom’s house to look up music and decide upon something for the processional and recessional.  I think I chose Bach’s “Arioso”, and I walked to “Through the Eyes of Love” from the Ice Castles movie.  I loved the song, and it had special meaning to me, as I was once a competitive figure skater myself.  I scarfed down a salad my mom made, and we had to get outta there.  It was after 10PM, a storm started to roll through, and my mom still had to drive us girls down to the Hyatt where we were staying that night.  I almost forgot hKeith’s wedding ring drama, but I’ll touch on that in tomorrow’s blog.  We grabbed Tommy and Rusty, as they were both scared of thunderstorms, put Chloe and Phibee in their crates, and headed downtown.  On our way down, the storm got pretty bad.  We even saw a huge blue flash, something like outta the movies, and then sparks on top of a building.  We’re guessing a transmitter blew, but still don’t know what that was.  We got to the Hyatt, said bye to mom and our dogs, and headed to the room to get some sleep.  I didn’t sleep well that night, I kept waking up every few hours, sometimes due to the storms.  It was one of those nights…
